Powercort 0.05% Cream 30 gm

Powercort 0.05% Cream belongs to a group of medicines called steroids and is used to treat various skin conditions.

Each Powercort 0.05% Cream contains Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% w/w, Chlorocresol (Preservative) 0.1% w/w in a cream base.

Clobetasol is a very potent topical glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects. It promotes the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) and subsequently inhibits the liberation of arachidonic acid. Thereby it depresses the formation, discharge, and activity of endogenous chemical mediators of inflammation (e.g., histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins).
